
The Rev. Brian O’Rourke was raised in the Monterey Bay Peninsula where he attended All Saints Episcopal Church in Carmel. After attending Menlo College in Atherton, California where he received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, he began his career in sales in the San Francisco Bay Area. Soon after he met his wife, Jenny. They moved to Los Angeles where together they discerned his call to the priesthood while attending All Saints, Pasadena and St. James, South Pasadena. After receiving a Masters in Divinity at Virginia Theological Seminary, two years of field education at the Washington National Cathedral and Clinical Pastoral Education at the Hebrew Home of Greater Washington, a Jewish retirement home in Rockville, Maryland, they returned to Southern California.
Over the past twelve years Rev. O’Rourke has served at several parishes and spent four and a half years as chaplain at MonteCedro, a retirement community in Altadena. Rev. O’Rourke is currently the part-time Associate for Intergenerational Ministry and Community Engagement at St. Luke’s. He also serves as a part-time chaplain at Twelve Oaks, a retirement community in Montrose. When not at work, Brian enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, and traveling.
